Tuesday was the one year anniversary of the murder of George Floyd. When that video was released, so many of us felt a myriad of emotions.
Whether it was outrage, fear, grief, frustration or confusion, the feelings were loud.
That's when I committed to do something to have an impact. I had never used my voice or my platform to speak on issues of racism before and honestly, I didn't really know what I could say or do that would make a difference.
But, the choice to do nothing, was no longer an option. I'm sure I'm not the only one who struggled with how to move the desires in my heart into sustainable action.
Yesterday, I did a live video about this. We each have a lane and it's important to find what our lane is and not compare our lane with others.
You can make a difference. It may not look like your neighbor's signs and protests, because honestly, that stuff fades over time. Life will always shift your priorities.
