So many things in life can cause you to feel stress. You can workout, meditate, drink tea, or go for a walk to relieve the symptoms of stress.
But what is the root cause of experiencing stress in the first place? It's resistance. Knowing what the right actions for you take are but letting your feelings of discomfort keep you from doing them is causing you stress.
That's a hard statement to hear and, of course, it doesn't relate to everything in your life, but it does relate to your choices when it comes to living better, feeling better, and loving better.
So, what does resistance feel like? Well, in it's simplified form, it's knowing what the right thing to do is, and not doing it.
Yes, I know there's fear, self-doubt, and scarcity feelings that cause this resistance. That's why you feel stressed dear one.
Try using those feelings as a barometer of what you need to do. The more scared you are, the more you have to dot it. That's how you stretch and grow.
Last year, around this time, I was faced with a decision of joining a program that would teach me how to speak as a speaker and write as a writer. I was terrified, not of the speaking and writing, but of the critiques of my speaking and writing. I hate being
judged.
The more fear I felt, the more I knew I had to say yes to this opportunity. One year later, I'm a contributing editor for a magazine. I've written a solo book and have contributed to two compilation books (a third is in the works). And I have a budding speaking
career.
I'm not saying this to brag, but to let you know what's possible for you when you face your resistance head-on. So, if you find yourself stuck in fear and resistance, and it's contributing to your stress, use it as a sign to take committed action in your life and
business.
