Welp, the holidays are here and I was thinking about you and what you've got planned for the holidays.
Are you making yourself crazy trying to do everything before the holidays? Or are you stressed out trying to make everything perfect for the holidays?
I'm asking because I'm wondering how you are using your 'time-off' and if you are enjoying yourself. Far too often, folks exhaust themselves around the holidays for many reasons and I'm hoping you will take the opposite approach.
Here are a couple of things you can do to make sure that your holiday time gives back to you, as much as you give to everyone else.
- Unplug from your devices and re-charge yourself. Spend time connecting with your loved ones and yourself. Read, write, be still for a minute.
- Rest. Sleep in a couple of mornings and feel the beauty of not rushing to a zoom meeting or to work. Have your morning cuppa joe in bed a couple of mornings. It's awesome.
- Practice gratitude. Try reaching out to someone that you haven't talked to in a while and send them a message to brighten their day. Practicing gratitude brings joy.
I'm going to take my own advice and get away for a bit and do nothing. Well, not totally nothing, but enough of nothing that I return in the new year refreshed.
Sending you love and season's greetings from my home to yours. See you in 2022!
