Hey {{ subscriber.first_name | capitalize() or "friend" }},
It's getting quieter now. The conversations have shifted to other things. Other causes have come into focus in the news and on social media.
People are getting tired and want to move on to something else now.
Can we move on from race and the police now? Human trafficking and child pornography is the hot topic now. Very worthy causes indeed.
No one can say no to or argue about fighting child pornography and human trafficking. You've made an effort in the fight against racial inequities.
You've listened to Black people speak on these issues. You've read books, articles and blogs in support of Black lives. You've done your part. Now what else are you supposed to do?
If you don't feel like this now, chances are you will feel this or something similar down the road.
The fight for the Black community is draining, exhausting and hard. Your friends and colleagues have slowed down also. Now it feels lonely to be the only one still talking about this.
I made this Facebook live video last week when I was creating the fundraiser for my birthday. It might be easier to hear my heart than to read my words.
