You are a good person. You have a good heart. You treat everyone the same. You do good deeds. You many even be active in your communities and help those less fortunate.
As you know, as a woman of color, I have taken a stand to to share resources for education and allyship for racial equality.
You may or may not agree with the cause, and that's okay. But I am using my voice to have an impact and share my voice in a way that is as loving as possible amongst the hurt and pain I am feeling.
In light of some comments that I have personally received, I made a video on FaceBook the other day.
I wanted to share it here to help enlighten and shift perspective around how some offers to help are landing.
This is not to make anyone wrong or feel bad. It simply is to share how this feels to me and other people of color.
