I am a documentary nerd. Since high school, I’ve been drawn to read biographies, autobiographies, and true crime
stories. So, as someone who finds themselves fascinated by the success of the Kardashians (don’t judge me), I was curious to see how Lamar would tell the story of his near-death experience of overdosing in a brothel. I remember how soon to be ex-wife, stood by his side, day and night, to make sure he got proper medical care and was instrumental in nursing him back to health. It was a story that, to me, showed just how self-less Khloe Kardashian was as a human being. To be able to care for a
person that wronged her so many times, and to put her life on hold to oversee his recovery was remarkable.
Then, he spoke. And, from what I deduced, gave
her very little, if any, props for the sacrifices she made to support his recovery. All I can say is that no matter how other people respond or react, we can still make the choice to do the right thing. Choices that are aligned to the best of who we are. Even when no one sees or acknowledges us. We still get to be proud of the way we move through this world. We cannot and should not make decisions based on how we expect others to react. We will most likely be disappointed when our expectations
aren’t met.
It is now streaming on Netflix.
