Photo is of me at the start of the
trip!
It would’ve been easy to succumb to overwhelm.
But I didn’t.
I chose differently.
Instead of letting stress hijack the experience, I set a clear intention: Protect my energy. Be present. Don’t overextend.
I slept when I needed rest.
I selected sessions mindfully.
I skipped what didn’t serve me.
And I gave myself permission to fully
enjoy the moment.
Here’s why I’m telling you this:
👉 Overwhelm is a choice.
Just because something is overwhelming for someone else doesn’t mean it has to be for you.
Their experience doesn’t have to become your story.
This applies to events, travel, leadership, business building or pursuing your dreams.
People might say your goals are too big.
That your path is too hard.
That your vision is unrealistic.
That’s their limitation, not yours.
You have agency.
You get to choose your experience… intentionally.
You have the power to do hard things without burning out.
So, the next time someone warns you that something might be "too much", pause.
Check
in with your truth.
And remember you don’t have to buy into their version of hard.
