Dear ,
What exactly is a coach? Many people call themselves a coach, but what does that mean and what qualifies them?
Let’s start with some roles that may be labeled as coaching but are not.
- Managing – ensures targets and objectives are met.
- Mentoring – provides experience, skills, and know-how in the same field or activity.
- Consulting – offers recommendations and solutions.
- Training – offers knowledge, techniques, skills and tools.
So, what is coaching?
Coaching is an influence process that leads to discovery, decision making, performance improvement, and better living.
Coaching is not solving all of your life problems by consulting or advising. A coach will help you work your problem, not solve it for you. Who actually does what people tell them to do anyway? People support what they create. By nature, we are resistant to command and control tactics.
Let me tell you more about who I am and what I do (in case you were wondering).
I am the founder and CEO of Optimize You High Performance Coaching. I also am an author, trainer, and facilitator. What I treasure most is my role as a certified high-performance coach because I was trained and certified by the #1 high performance coach in the world.
What makes a great coach?
I know that one of the things that makes me great is that I will always fight for your greatness, not your limitations. I’m sure you can find enough doubters in your life to remind you of your limits.
A great coach listens specifically for information, your interpretation of that information, how you respond based on your identity and how you intend to move things forward and improve. They will ask questions that bring you to movement and action on the problem or situation, not leave you swirling in stories and
excuses.
The goal is always to move you forward to better living. To push you and challenge you and most importantly, to celebrate you!
Every year, I train with my coach and teacher, Brendon Burchard, on how to be a great coach. There are a lot of people calling themselves coaches in the world
today. My mission and my dedication are to be one of the best of the best and deliver world-class coaching to my clients. I probably won’t be one of the top 5 in the world, but I will be one of the best.
I will always be learning and growing in the work. It’s a journey that I will be on until I am mentally no longer able to learn. As you seek leaders and coaches in your life, demand excellence from them too. You deserve the best.
And, as you lead others in your life and/or business, demand excellence from yourself. Show up in full energy and presence in all that you do. You are someone’s role model whether you realize it or not!
I share all this with you to let you know that I’m in the process of going to my next level in my coaching training. I’ll be applying for the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Credentials for my coaching business. As a part of attaining those
credentials, I get to offer any new clients a scholarship for my coaching services.
If you are curious about how coaching can improve, enrich, and
enhance the quality of your personal and professional life, schedule a call with me. We will discuss your goals, your struggles in reaching your goals, and if coaching is a fit for you to accelerate your progress on those goals. If it is a fit, we’ll discuss how you can take advantage of the scholarship opportunity for private 1-on-1 coaching with me.
There is only a limited amount of people that I can offer this to so please, serious inquiries only and act fast before they are gone.

I look forward to supporting you on your journey to your best life!
