There’s Still Some Learning Needed

Hey ,

February is Black History Month. It’s a month to celebrate the accomplishments of people who have been historically placed on the margins of society. I’ll be honest, I haven’t done a lot of posts in celebration of Black History this month. I can’t put my finger on why, but I think it’s because I don’t think people really care.

There’s a lot of fatigue around anything related to Diversity and Inclusion. People say they care, but it’s not a priority if it doesn’t directly harm you, . I’ve written a blog post about the fatigue we are all experiencing around the subject that I hope you will take the time to read, along with some other resources I recommend that you watch and read.

I find them fascinating and I hope you will too.

I read the book shortly after it came out in 2020, right after George Floyd’s murder, and I was impressed with her research of Nazi Germany, America, and the Caste system in India.
