Hey ,
Last week I was speaking to someone who was sharing some really high-level hopes and plans for her life. She was very clear on what she wanted and that was great. But when I asked her when she planned on implementing these dreams, she kept saying what she was 'trying' to
do.
Trying is code for, nothing. I want to do it. I hope to do it. I wish for it. So, therefore I'm trying to do it. The reality is, nothing is scheduled for it. There's no real commitment without planning and scheduling.
The more you plan, the more freedom you end up having because you use your time better. And when you use your time better, you have more time later to do more of the fun things in life.
When you don't plan and you don't make (schedule) time, you are always too tired and exhausted to do the thing. And, once again, you feel bad about yourself because you didn't do what you hoped to do. But hey, you 'tried'.
Thinking about doing a thing or not doing a thing is not trying by the way. Don't feel bad. We all do it. How can you interrupt the 'I try' excuse so that you can say 'I did'?
