Let me say that again. Your decision to stay where you are in life is based on what it will COST you to do something about it and not on what you will GAIN when you invest in yourself and in your future.
That’s the main difference between a wealthy mindset and a broke mindset.
I was raised with a broke mindset. Always focused on what things cost and if we could afford them. Even if we could afford it, if it cost too much, it didn’t happen. There was always that worry and concern about the price tag and my mother always found
ways to save money on groceries by clipping coupons. She was so proud of saving 20 cents, 50 cents, and a dollar whenever she could. She actually spent the majority of her time clipping coupons more than anything else in life. So, of course, I inherited that love of a bargain.
At one point I got tired of living paycheck to paycheck and looking for sales and bargains to get what I wanted. I was also tired of seeing other folks make tons of money off of my hard work when my salary was basically capped. I was tired of living
like I was broke. I needed a way out and I had to invest in myself to find that way out.
It was
the scariest thing I ever did but I knew if I wanted different results, I had to learn how to do things differently. I invested thousands of dollars in myself only 2 months after I had been downsized. Yup, I was making less money, working less hours, and not sure what my next steps would be. But I couldn’t stay stuck.
My point is that as scary as it was for me to make that level of investment (hubby was not pleased about it), that investment has given us a net worth of millions of dollars. It’s the return that the investment gave us that made the investment worth
it—our gains. We gain so much more than we initially put in and that investment in skills and knowledge keeps paying those dividends. I learned how to think and invest like the wealthy folks. I never learned this at home. I learned many values at home but my parents didn’t have this knowledge to share.
If you want your dreams to come true, whatever they are, you are going to have to invest (not spend) some money.
Invest in your dreams so that you can make them happen. Don’t let the fear of the cost prevent you from making the investment in yourself so that you can achieve your dreams. Think rich. Invest in your future. Trust
yourself and your dreams enough to get out of fear and make it happen.
I got the knowledge.
And I also invested in coaches and mentors on how to use that knowledge to get the highest return on investment. I learned to stop worrying about the cost of things and worry about the value of things.
Wealthy, successful people do not go it alone. They have the help and support of coaches and mentors.
What is Coaching? Coaching is an influence process that leads to discovery, decision-making, performance improvement, and better living.
Here’s what my client Tim has to say about his coaching experience:
“Coaching is unlocking a
person's potential to maximize their own performance." One of the quotes that I recall hearing once made an imprint. If you believe that there's always another level in you to be, to do, and to have more out of a specific area or life in general, Eva's coaching needs to be on top of your to-do list RIGHT NOW. Having been investing in my own personal development for over 2 decades, Eva's approach is refreshing, honest, and result-oriented. The clarity of each step that
Eva takes and the finesse to "tell you what you need to hear" (as opposed to what you want to hear) as a Coach are the two key ingredients for me to create successes in business and my personal relationships even during one of the most stressful and uncertain times of my life. I would not hesitate recommending Eva as a Coach to anyone!”
